A Farsley woman who played her first public DJ set just a year ago has landed a dream gig in London after being selected to perform alongside Bradford-based TikTok star and DJ,\u00a0Crazy Auntie Ann<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Caroline Joynson was chosen from thousands of entries submitted from around the world to DJ at an exclusive event hosted by Crazy Auntie Ann at Colours Hoxton, London, on Saturday, 4 July.<\/p>\n

PR consultant Caroline, who performs under the name\u00a0Queen of Spin<\/a>, only began learning to DJ in February last year. <\/p>\n

Since then, she has rapidly built her confidence and experience, progressing quickly from her first public performance in June 2025 to playing in front of more than 2,000 people at\u00a0Yeadon Cricket Club\u2019s Bonfire Night celebrations<\/a>. She\u2019s gone on to play at\u00a0sober raves<\/a>,\u00a0corporate events<\/a>\u00a0and bars and is set to take to the decks at The End Bar in Leeds on Friday 26 June for its popular\u00a0Moretti Club<\/a>\u00a0night.<\/p>\n

Ann Chambers, known online as Crazy Auntie Ann, began her journey to becoming a social media sensation during the 2020 lockdown. Originally creating videos to inspire and entertain the health and social care students she taught at a local college, she was challenged by her students to reach 10,000 followers on TikTok. Fast-forward five years, and she now boasts an audience of 4.8 million followers across social media.<\/p>\n

Caroline Joynson said: \u201cI\u2019ve always loved clubbing and the sense of togetherness as the DJ brings everyone together through music. Fast forward a few years and, completely by chance, my neighbour offered me my first DJ lesson \u2013 and I\u2019ve never looked back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI joined a DJ course at The Music Box in Pudsey last year and things have grown from there. From my first public gig this time last year to DJing in front of 2,000 people at Yeadon Cricket Club\u2019s Bonfire Night event, I\u2019ve grabbed every opportunity that has come my way and I\u2019m absolutely loving it.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo have the opportunity to DJ in London is a dream come true. I know it\u2019s going to be an incredible event, and I\u2019ll have a brilliant time with Crazy Auntie Ann. I just keep saying yes to opportunities, and that\u2019s what I\u2019d say to anyone thinking about learning a new skill \u2013 go for it. What have you got to lose?\u201d<\/p>\n

Ann Chambers, Crazy Auntie Ann, said: \u201cWe absolutely loved Caroline\u2019s entry for the chance to DJ with me in London. You could see the joy shining through in the video she submitted.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe received thousands of entries, but the DJs we selected all had something special about them. I know they\u2019ll connect with the crowd at the event.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joining Caroline behind the decks at the London event will be DJ Ty from Pudsey and DJ Je Moeder from The Netherlands.<\/p>\n
