Future Yard\u2019s \u201cTurn Up The Volume\u201d programme brings live music, creativity, and industry-led learning to regional primary schools, transforming how children experience and engage with music.<\/p>\n
Following a successful pilot involving 12 primary schools across Wirral and impacting over 3,500 children, Future Yard\u2019s pioneering schools programme is redefining what music education can look like in the classroom.\u00a0<\/p>\n
By combining curriculum-based learning with live music experiences, hands-on creative projects and access to professional musicians, the programme aims to inspire the next generation of creators, performers and music lovers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Built on Future Yard\u2019s founding belief that \u201cmusic can change the world\u201d, the initiative gives every child the opportunity to develop confidence, creativity and self-expression through music, regardless of their background or previous experience.<\/p>\n
The programme aligns with the National Curriculum while introducing a fresh, contemporary approach to music learning. Schools benefit from ready-to-use teaching resources, professional development opportunities for staff and access to high-quality instruments and specialist support.<\/p>\n
Children can also learn modern instruments as part of our Band Club sessions, growing confidence and learning about music as a team, forming bands and getting ready to be the next headliners on the stage at Future Yard and venues across the region.<\/p>\n
Children taking part will experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Inspiring weekly music lessons designed by musicians and educators<\/p>\n \u2022 Interactive workshops and in-school live music performances<\/p>\n \u2022 Real industry experiences, visiting our working live music venue<\/p>\n \u2022 Access to high-quality instruments and our modern Band Club sessions<\/p>\n \u2022 Opportunities to perform and showcase their creativity<\/p>\n \u2022 Direct engagement with the music industry and professional artists<\/p>\n The pilot year has already demonstrated the appetite for a new approach to music education, with participating schools embracing a model that connects classroom learning with real-world musical experiences.<\/p>\n Future Yard believes music education should do more than teach notes and rhythms.
