Norwich City have confirmed the signing of Andre Brooks from Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee.<\/p>\n
The 22-year-old winger has signed a five-year deal and will join Philippe Clement\u2019s squad for the first full day of pre-season training on Friday.<\/p>\n
Brooks arrives after a strong individual campaign at Bramall Lane, where he was voted Sheffield United\u2019s Players\u2019 Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year.<\/p>\n
Norwich say he registered six goals and three assists across 39 league appearances last season.<\/a><\/p>\n That gives Clement another wide option before the main block of summer work begins.<\/p>\n Brooks Gives Clement A Two-Way Wide Option<\/p>\n Brooks joined Sheffield United\u2019s academy at the age of eight and came through the Blades\u2019 youth system.<\/p>\n He was also once a teammate of current Norwich full-back Lucien Mahovo, which adds a useful connection inside the squad.<\/p>\n The Jamaica international made his senior international debut in March, coming on as a substitute in a World Cup qualifying win over New Caledonia.<\/p>\n Speaking to Norwich\u2019s official website, Brooks said he is \u201cabsolutely ready for the challenge ahead\u201d and believes Clement will want him to play on both sides, attack and defend.<\/p>\n That line matters.<\/p>\n
