A BRIT dad allegedly caught with cocaine in Dubai has been jailed for 40 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sam Dorman, 33, was arrested in a police<\/a> sting this month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old dad-of-one, is being held at a notorious prison and won’t be released until his 70sCredit: Not known, clear with picture desk<\/p>\n

He is said to have had half a gram on him when nicked.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And cops are understood to have then found 28g of the Class A drug at his home. <\/p>\n

In the UK that would be worth \u00a32,000 but it could fetch up to three times as much in the UAE<\/a>, which has a zero tolerance for drugs<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dad-of-one Dorman, a barber and tattoo artist originally from Glossop, Derbys, was arrested last week and jailed for 40 years on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He is being held at Al-Awir Central Prison<\/a> in the emirate, notorious for its squalid conditions and violence. A source said: \u201cHe\u2019s got a young daughter in the UK, so to be serving 40 years is really sad.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe won\u2019t be out till he\u2019s in his 70s. <\/p>\n

“The prison\u2019s a hellhole and Sam\u2019s family are understandably distraught.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they spoke to him, it looked like he\u2019d taken a \u00adbattering. I just hope someone can help him.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dorman moved to Dubai<\/a> in 2022 to start a business<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The source added: \u201cHe got in with the wrong crowd. Sam apparently sold coke to a \u00adcustomer who was pulled over and arrested by police.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I jetted off on ultimate lads\u2019 weekend\u2026only to be arrested, tortured at \u2018Dubai Alcatraz\u2019 & threatened with death by firing squad<\/p>\n

\u201cThey took his phone and messaged Sam pretending to be the buyer and asked for more. Sam stupidly went and the police were waiting. At this point he was nabbed.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Foreign Office said: \u201cWe are supporting a British man detained in Dubai.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
