Police incident on Wilmslow Road in Didsbury <\/p>\n

There were chaotic scenes as police responded to reports of youths fighting in Didsbury village. Witnesses said it was ‘absolute beldam’ on Friday evening (June 26).<\/p>\n

There were large crowds as trouble erupted before officers arrived. Images showed scores of police cars at the scene on Wilmslow Road as crowds dispersed.<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police said one person was arrested on suspicion of assault. Another person another on suspicion of theft.<\/p>\n

“Absolute bedlam in the village this evening,” one person said on Facebook.<\/p>\n
