Jack P Shepherd, who has played David Platt on ITV soap Coronation Street since 2000, has announced the arrival of his fourth child and co-stars have rushed to congratulate him<\/p>\n

Jack P Shepherd has become a dad for the fourth time. The Coronation Street<\/a> star, 38, who has played David Platt on the ITV<\/a> soap since 2000, tied the knot with Hanni Treweek just under a year ago and they announced they were expecting their first child in February.<\/a><\/p>\n

On Sunday, Jack, who already has three children, including two with ex-girlfriend Lauren Shippey, took to social media to announce that the little one had arrived and was born at home.<\/p>\n

In a joint post, the couple wrote on Instagram: “Constance Ita Shepherd[heart emoji] Our beautiful baby girl has arrived, born peacefully at home, surrounded by love.” The post also revealed that their daughter had actually arrived on Friday.<\/p>\n

Several of Jack’s Corrie co-stars rushed to the comments section to react to the happy news. Paddy Bever, who played David’s adoptive son Max Turner, simply left a red heart emoji.<\/p>\n

Sally Dynevor<\/a>, who has played Sally Metcalfe for 40 years, said: “Oh wonderful, so happy for you, what a beautiful name. Love to you all.” Samia Longchambon, who plays hairdresser Maria connor said: “Amazing! Huge congratulations guys.”<\/p>\n

Georgia Taylor<\/a>, who made her debut as Toyah Battersby nearly 30 years ago, said: “Oh darling! So thrilled for you both and what a beautiful name.” Natalie Anderson, who previously starred in Emmerdale before joining Coronation Street, said: “Aww beautiful!! Congratulations you guys.”<\/p>\n

Georgia May Foote, who enjoyed a stint on Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> after leaving her role as Katy Armstrong said: “Congratulations!” EastEnders<\/a> icon Patsy Palmer, who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother<\/a> with Jack, said: “Congratulations both of you.”<\/p>\n

Fans were also quick to pile into the comments section of his post as they sent their well-wishes to the Celebrity Big Brother<\/a> winner.<\/p>\n

One fan said: “Congratulations to you both – what a gorgeous name xx,” another said: “What a name and what a date to be born,” and a third wrote: “Huge congratulations to you both. Welcome to the world<\/a> Constance!”<\/p>\n

Posting a sweet video online, when they inititally announced the pregnant, Jack wrote: \u201cWe\u2019ve been keeping a secret\u2026June 2026. He added: \u201cthank you so much to the dream team who made this so special for us.\u201d The couple could be seen smiling as they posted for a pregnancy<\/a> photo shoot..<\/p>\n

Jack met Hanni when she worked behind the scenes on the show. They tied the knot in July 2025<\/a> in Manchester, after Jack popped the question on safari a year earlier.<\/p>\n

The couple’s friends were quick to express their joy at the news, with Emmerdale<\/a> actor Danny Miller reacting to the announcement. \u201cCongratulations guys,\u201d he wrote alongside a heart-face emoji. Catherine Tyldesley gushed: \u201cCongratulations beautiful people.\u201d Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, Jack’s on-screen sister, on the cobbles, wrote: \u201cAmazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair tied the knot in front of family and friends<\/a> including their Coronation Street<\/a> pals. Helen Worth, who played David Platt’s mum Gail, <\/a>was in attendance at his big day alongside his on-screen siblings – Ben Price<\/a> (Nick Tisley) and Tina O’Brien (Sarah Platt).<\/p>\n
