Meghan Markle has traditionally kept quiet<\/a> about her initial meeting with the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton. Since the Duchess of Sussex<\/a> ditched her Royal titles and jetted off to Montecito, CA with Prince Harry<\/a>, she’s been somewhat estranged from the British Royal family<\/a>, with numerous bombshell interviews revealing top priorities and spilling family secrets.<\/a><\/p>\n

Despite the hurdles faced by the royals in recent years, some members are reportedly “open to a reunion” and Meghan might be among them if her feelings towards her sister-in-law haven’t changed since their first encounter.<\/p>\n

The book uncovers that tensions were sky-high between the duchess and princess around the time of Meghan’s 2018 Royal wedding. A former staffer disclosed that both were left “crying their eyes out” following a heated exchange.<\/p>\n

“The truth is that during the discussions about the bridesmaid’s dress Meghan said a few things she regretted and Kate said a few things she later regretted but it was all in the heat of the moment,” confessed the insider, reports the Mirror US<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As readers pore over the pages, they’re reminded of the conflicting accounts Meghan and Harry have previously given about their interactions with Prince William and Princess Kate.<\/p>\n

In a 2017 BBC interview, the Duke revealed his brother and sister-in-law were eager to meet Meghan. Harry recounted their first encounter positively, with Meghan adding that Kate was “wonderful.<\/p>\n

“She’s been wonderful,” she commented.<\/p>\n

Harry continued: “Amazing, as has William as well, you know, fantastic support. The whole family have come together and have been a huge amount of support.”<\/p>\n

Although they didn’t divulge much at the time, Harry and Meghan later acknowledged the tensions within the Royal family. In her conversation with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan recalled an incident with Kate, who had apologised and presented her with flowers after an upset.<\/p>\n

“It wasn’t a confrontation,” Meghan stated. “I don’t think it’s fair to her to get into the details of that, because she apologised.”<\/p>\n

Meghan expressed difficulty in overcoming being blamed for something she hadn’t done but rather experienced herself.<\/p>\n
