In short, it seems Ubisoft is looking to offer a really strong experience on base PS5, both graphically and performance-wise, and the PS5 Pro builds on top of that with an extra layer of polish. In a PlayStation Blog post<\/a>, it’s revealed the PS5 Pro goes above and beyond with “richer lighting and reflection quality while maintaining higher performance targets across Performance, Balanced, and Fidelity modes”.<\/p>\n

The upgraded console also features Ubisoft’s “strand-based hair” technology. “Rather than relying solely on traditional hair cards, the engine can simulate and render individual strands for more natural motion and response to wind. All of this allows us to get a very realistic hair render for our characters.”<\/p>\n

Main character, Edward, has this feature activated across all graphical modes on PS5 Pro. You’ll also see it working on every character during cutscenes.<\/p>\n
