{"id":1059137,"date":"2026-06-30T07:11:21","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T07:11:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1059137\/"},"modified":"2026-06-30T07:11:21","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T07:11:21","slug":"somalia-born-british-man-charged-with-attempted-murder-after-london-car-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1059137\/","title":{"rendered":"Somalia-born British man charged with attempted murder after London car incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/hol.jpg\" alt=\"HOL Logo\" class=\"source-logo-inline\"\/><br \/>Tuesday June 30, 2026<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1782798860skynews-car-collides-pedestrians_7284656.png\" alt=\"Somalia-born British man charged with attempted murder after London car incident\"\/><br \/>Five people were injured after the incident on Saturday<\/p>\n<p>London (HOL) \u2014 A Somalia-born British man has been charged with five counts of attempted murder after a car struck pedestrians in west London, police said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Timir Ahmed Mohamed, 34, of Grange Park, Ealing, was charged after Saturday\u2019s incident near Marks and Spencer in Ealing Broadway.<\/p>\n<p>The Metropolitan Police said Mohamed was also charged with criminal damage, dangerous driving, failing to stop and failing to provide a breath specimen for analysis.<\/p>\n<p>He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear Monday at Willesden Magistrates\u2019 Court.<\/p>\n<p>Police said officers were called to Ealing Broadway at 2:29 p.m. Saturday after reports that a car had collided with multiple pedestrians.<\/p>\n<p>Five pedestrians were injured. Two were treated at the scene, while three were taken to hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing.<\/p>\n<p>Counter Terrorism Policing London was initially involved in the inquiry because of the nature of the incident, but police said the case is not being treated as terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>The London Ambulance Service said it sent several emergency resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, a volunteer emergency responder crew and an incident response officer.<\/p>\n<p>London\u2019s Air Ambulance was also dispatched.<\/p>\n<p>The ambulance service said three patients were treated at the scene.
