The royal family feels \u201churt and betrayed\u201d after Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a> spoke about their family drama earlier this month \u2014 but Prince William<\/strong><\/a> had the strongest reaction, a source tells Us Weekly exclusively.<\/p>\n

\u201cWilliam is more hurt than anything else,\u201d the insider said, referring to Harry\u2019s bombshell BBC interview<\/a> from May 2, noting that William, 42, and his wife, Princess Kate Middleton<\/strong> \u201care not giving\u201d Harry, 40, and wife Meghan Markle<\/strong> \u201cthe time of day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry claimed during his recent BBC interview that King Charles III<\/strong> \u201cwon\u2019t speak to me\u201d<\/a> but still pleaded for a reconciliation with his family. He did not, however, mention William or Kate. (The interview came after Harry lost his appeal<\/a> for government-funded security in the U.K. He hinted at his father being a part of the decision.)<\/p>\n

William and Kate, 43, are keeping their conversations about Harry and Meghan, 43, to a minimum for \u201ca less stressful environment.\u201d The Prince of Wales is focused on supporting his wife as she recovers from her ongoing health battle. (Kate announced in March 2024 that she was diagnosed with cancer<\/a> and has been in remission since September of that year.)<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one on the staff can mention Meghan\u2019s name to Kate right now, her name is basically banned because of the stress around it, and she doesn\u2019t want it anymore,\u201d the source added, alleging that Kate \u201cwill never see Meghan again,\u201d even if the royal family reconciles with Harry. (Rumors about a rift between Kate and Meghan have been swirling for years. The most notable drama surrounding Princess Charlotte<\/strong>\u2019s dress for Harry and Meghan\u2019s 2018 wedding \u2014 which apparently left both women in tears<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex has been estranged from his family since deciding to step back from royal duties alongside Meghan in 2020 and move to the United States permanently. (Harry and Meghan married<\/a> in 2018 and share two kids, son Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 3.)<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything changed when Meghan came into the fold,\u201d the same source added. \u201c[But] she\u2019s not blamed for everything, and Harry is a part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

While William and Kate \u201ccan forgive Harry because he\u2019s family,\u201d they \u201cdon\u2019t want to see Meghan again,\u201d the source added.<\/p>\n
