Everybody knows the world of the rich and famous is insular, but sometimes we get a peek into just how tightly knit it is. Cara Delevingne confirmed on The Louis Theroux Podcast<\/a> that she had been \u201centangled\u201d with Amber Heard during Heard\u2019s divorce from Johnny Depp but noted it was complicated because of Heard\u2019s relationship with Elon Musk. And \u2026 whoa, that\u2019s a lot of very famous proper nouns. Delevingne told Theroux that Depp had a hard time with rumors that she and his wife were together. \u201cHe was pretty driven crazy by jealousy, I suppose,\u201d Delevingne said. \u201cNothing was happening at that point. Later, after they divorced, I suppose.\u201d When Theroux prompted her to clarify, she did on some level. \u201cAn entanglement \u2026 what is the word?\u201d Delevingne asked, searching for the right term. \u201cWe were close for a long time and then when they were going through the divorce, we were entangled.\u201d<\/p>\n Heard\u2019s divorce from Depp was famously grueling. She alleged abuse in 2016 and sued him<\/a>. In 2017, they settled their divorce<\/a> and she dropped the charges. In 2018, she wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post about domestic violence that did not mention Depp by name, but he was still able to sue her for defamation for implying he was a \u201cwife beater.\u201d The ensuing legal battle was broadcast over social media broadly, and Depp ultimately won<\/a> in a Virginia court.<\/p>\n In her interview with Theroux, Delevingne noted her entanglement with Heard was complicated. \u201cShe was also entangled with other people,\u201d Delevingne said. In the current version of the podcast, Theroux moves on to talk about the film London Fields<\/a>, for which Heard won a Razzie. However, both TMZ<\/a> and The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> have noted that in a version of the podcast not currently available online, Theroux then asked if Delevingne was referring to Heard\u2019s being with Musk. \u201cThere you go,\u201d Delevingne apparently responded.
