{"id":1061703,"date":"2026-07-01T11:34:13","date_gmt":"2026-07-01T11:34:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1061703\/"},"modified":"2026-07-01T11:34:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-01T11:34:13","slug":"coven-a-new-hub-for-sohos-nightlife-scene","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1061703\/","title":{"rendered":"Coven: A New Hub for Soho\u2019s Nightlife Scene"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The former G-A-Y Bar address is now open all hours as a community space and a late-night party venue<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Led by founder Matthew Jacobs Morgan, Hackney Wick queer collective Coven has taken over the legendary former G-A-Y Bar at 30 Old Compton Street, breathing new life into the iconic address.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now called<strong> <\/strong>Coven: Headquarters,<strong> <\/strong>the five-floor space has been given a glow-up following G-A-Y\u2019s closure last year after owner Jeremy Joseph cited rising costs and the changing face of Soho.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s much more than a nightclub too. By day it\u2019s a multi-purpose space for the community including a cafe. After dark, they turn things into a party.
