The elite all-boys school costs \u00a363,298 per year, and it is synonymous with the upper echelons of British society.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"eGdIC0b5jLW\" data-wc=\"99\">Royal biographer and historian Hugo Vickers, who is a former alum of the iconic institution, has spoken out about his experience there and revealed a nerve-wracking test that Prince George will face when he arrives at the prestigious school. Hugo explained in a piece for <a class=\"hm-link he-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.com\/life-style\/celebrity\/article\/like-george-i-went-to-eton-at-least-theres-no-fagging-now-dhb5ppj3r#selection-2397.246-2397.253\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"article-body-link\">The Times<\/a> that the pupils are all quizzed by a group of senior peers, with very little time to prepare for the grilling. Among the subjects on offer are traditional ones like English literature, mathematics and the three sciences: biology, chemistry and physics.<\/p>\n<p id=\"eR3mIsCAVmB\" data-wc=\"44\">The rest of the curriculum consists of Ancient History, Latin, Greek, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, History (medieval, early modern or modern), History of Art, Geography, Design, Art, Music, Theology, Theatre Studies, Economics, Government and Politics, Music Technology and Computer Science.<\/p>\n<p>What was Prince William&#8217;s experience at Eton?<\/p>\n<p id=\"ecqpiUMh2L2\" data-wc=\"28\">Prince William once remarked that he &#8220;really enjoyed being able to go about Eton as just another student,&#8221; and didn&#8217;t feel &#8220;like he was special&#8221; at the school. <\/p>\n<p> <img src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/38bb831147e1-prince-william-eton.jpg\"   width=\"624\" height=\"1024\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Prince William dressed as a prefect, with a union jack waistcoat at Eton in June 2000.\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" class=\"image he-image\" data-flatplan=\"fp_photoCaption\"\/>\u00a9 GettyWilliam was educated at Eton<\/p>\n<p id=\"ev4nIjA7tAS\" data-wc=\"65\">However, Grace Moody-Stuart, <a class=\"hm-link he-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.goodschoolsguide.co.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"article-body-link\" target=\"_blank\">The Good Schools Guide<\/a>&#8216;s Consultancy Director, told HELLO! that it wasn&#8217;t a straightforward decision. She believes the royal couple has demonstrated &#8220;a dedication&#8221; to searching for schools for their kids. &#8220;They haven&#8217;t just gone &#8216;Oh, I went to Eton, therefore my son&#8217;s going to Eton,&#8217; which is what a lot of Etonian fathers do. They&#8217;ve really looked at other options,&#8221; she says.<\/p>\n<p id=\"emiKs9ZEykN\" data-wc=\"35\">Over 60 per cent of HELLO! readers have said that Prince William has made the right decision to send his eldest son to the iconic school.
