King Charles III<\/strong><\/a> and his eldest son, Prince William<\/strong><\/a>, jointly attended the Service for the Order of the Bath amid ongoing family drama<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Charles, 76, and William, 42, attended the regal ceremony at London\u2019s Westminster Abbey on Friday, May 16. The service is held once every four years to recognize individuals\u2019 exemplary service to the British monarchy and install new Great Masters and Knights of the Grand Cross.<\/p>\n

Charles, as the king, is the Sovereign Head of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, while William was previously named a Great Master of the Order.<\/p>\n

Friday\u2019s outing comes on the heels of lingering family drama. Both Charles and William have been estranged from Prince Harry<\/strong> in recent years. (Charles shared his sons with late ex-wife Princess Diana<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIt appears that King Charles III and his two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, might be growing further apart. Charles, who ascended the British throne in 2022 after the death of mother Queen Elizabeth II, shared his two children with late ex-wife Princess Diana. (Charles is now married to Queen Camilla, and they recently [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex, 40, and wife Meghan Markle<\/strong> stepped down from their posts as senior working royals in 2020 to settle in Montecito, California. The decision sparked tension<\/a> with his relatives back across the pond.<\/p>\n

The drama has only continued during Harry\u2019s security fight. Earlier this month, Harry lost his lost his latest appeal<\/a> to have his government-funded security restored in England.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point,\u201d Harry, who shares 6-year-old Prince Archie and 3-year-old Princess Lilibet with his wife, told the BBC<\/a>. \u201cI love my country, I always have done, despite what some people in that country have done.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Harry was saddened by the court setback, he was also open to a potential family reunion down the line \u2014 especially amid Charles\u2019 ongoing cancer battle.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would love reconciliation with my family. There\u2019s no point in continuing to fight anymore,\u201d he added to the BBC. \u201cThere have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neither Charles nor William has publicly addressed Harry\u2019s court verdict or the familial estrangement.<\/p>\n

Ahead of King Charles III\u2019s coronation, royal expert Omid Scobie gave an update on Prince Harry\u2019s relationships with his father and Prince William. \u201cObviously [the coronation] is the first time [Prince Harry] sees his family face-to-face since the release of Spare,\u201d Scobie, the author of Finding [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole institution is concerned that if Charles reaches out any conversations and information would be splashed across the American press,\u201d a source exclusively told Us Weekly <\/a>earlier this month. \u201cHarry did what his mother did and it\u2019s impossible to come back into the fold after that. So, everyone around Charles isn\u2019t keen on him reaching out to Harry. They understand it\u2019s a father-son relationship, but the family is so complicated, and issues of the monarchy often supersede personal relationships.\u201d<\/p>\n

A second insider, meanwhile, told Us that William and his wife, Princess Kate Middleton<\/strong>, won\u2019t give Harry and Meghan \u201cthe time of day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWilliam is more hurt than anything else,\u201d the second source told <\/a>Us<\/a>. \u201cThe first step is to stop talking to the public about private matters.
