Leeds United<\/a> have allowed Harry Gray another loan away from Elland Road next season, as he joins Sheffield Wednesday in League One.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds\u2019 aims to consolidate in the Premier League are the priority right now, but developing the club\u2019s youth setup in the meantime is a crucial endeavour.<\/p>\n

The crown jewel of Thorp Arch is of course Harry Gray<\/a>. Maximising his development in the coming season is a vital part of our long-term plans, which includes another loan spell after his Rotherham United stint.<\/p>\n

Gray\u2019s loan in South Yorkshire with the Millers was ideal for the teenager getting to grips with senior football. Albeit suffering relegation in his first taste of the \u2018mens\u2019 game\u2019, Gray will have taken valuable lessons from working under Matt Hamshaw and Lee Clark at the bottom of League One.<\/p>\n

In this upcoming season, he\u2019s heading back to League One in that part of Yorkshire, this time with Sheffield Wednesday.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s according to the Yorkshire Evening Post<\/a>, who relay previous reports about a move to Hillsborough<\/a>. It\u2019s claimed that a deal is all agreed after the Owls beat Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town to his signature.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, Gray will have a familiar mentor to guide him through Wednesday\u2019s season under new ownership in the third tier.<\/p>\n

Former Leeds promotion hero Liam Cooper was confirmed to have penned a contract extension at Hillsborough this summer, staying on after joining midway through last season.<\/p>\n

There was plenty from Gray\u2019s loan in a truly terrible Rotherham side to back up the notion that he is a special talent.<\/p>\n

His three goals in 20 outings isn\u2019t the most terrific output, but the goals he scored were of real quality. If you put him in an actually competent team, he could explode.<\/p>\n

Wednesday are in the midst of a huge overhaul, but should be challenging playoffs at the very least. That sort of team performance platforms Gray so well to have a terrific season.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s plenty of pressure playing for Wednesday too. It\u2019s a big Yorkshire club wanting to get themselves back on the map, plenty of parallels to what he\u2019ll face when he\u2019s in Leeds\u2019 senior squad in the future.<\/p>\n
