Select members of Vacheron Constantin<\/a>\u2019s Traditionnelle<\/a> and Patrimony<\/a> families have been invited to join in the 270th-anniversary celebrations. Eight references from both families have been singled out for the special treatment and flaunt dials decorated with a unique motif created for the 270th anniversary of the brand. As important as the dial, the manufacture calibres are also given distinctive finishings that will set them apart as anniversary pieces.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Traditionnelle collection pays homage to Geneva\u2019s haute horlogerie traditions. Distinguished by its classic cases with stepped lugs, fluting and a slender bezel, other features of this family are the railway-style minutes track, the faceted gold Dauphine hour and minute hands and the applied gold hour markers. The Patrimony collection is inspired by the ultra-thin round timepieces crafted by Vacheron Constantin in the 1950s. Characterised by an elegant minimalism, Patrimony timepieces share gently domed dials with slender curved hour markers and slim baton hands.<\/p>\n

Created especially for the 270th anniversary, the dials of these watches feature a subtle geometric motif inspired by the Maltese Cross, the brand\u2019s logo since 1880. The refined decoration recalls the dial of a 1955 reference marking the bicentenary of the Maison and creates a subtle play of light and shade. The other distinguishing anniversary signature of these watches is the \u2018c\u00f4te unique\u2019 finishing on the bridges, a feature rediscovered in 2021 while reproducing the Historiques American 1921 watch. Requiring great skill and control, a continuous etched line spans from one bridge to another. Lastly, all the in-house movements are visible through the sapphire crystal caseback and feature an engraved gold Maltese Cross inscribed with 270.<\/p>\n

Traditionnelle Manual-Winding<\/p>\n

Classic time-only dress watches, the Traditionnelle Manual-Winding anniversary editions come in 38mm cases with a slim profile of 7.77mm. Available in 950 platinum or 18k pink gold, each edition is limited to 370 pieces. With nothing to distract the eye save the small seconds counter at 6 o\u2019clock, the silvery dials are traversed by the special anniversary motif with a series of sharply executed lines emanating from a Maltese Cross at 7:30.<\/p>\n

The mother-of-pearl dial is decorated with the signature anniversary motif of crisscrossing lines inspired by the profile of the Maltese Cross.
