Man United goalkeeper Andre Onana will spend a second season on loan at Turkish club Trabzonspor\"Onana<\/p>\n

Onana has left United on loan again<\/p>\n

Manchester United have confirmed goalkeeper Andre Onana will spend next season on loan at Trabzonspor again. The Reds’ former first-choice shot stopper was loaned to the Turkish club last summer following a turbulent two years at Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim<\/a> installed Senne Lammens<\/a> as first choice in October, a role he has held ever since. With United moving on from Onana<\/a>, it was clear the Cameroon international’s future was away from Old Trafford. However, a permanent exit has not been agreed for the 30-year-old.<\/p>\n

Instead, MEN Sport reported on Thursday that Onana had signed the paperwork to rejoin Trabzonspor<\/a> on loan, where he made 40 appearances last season. The deal was agreed last week but official confirmation was delayed as Onana was on holiday.<\/p>\n

    United are hoping to receive a fee of up to \u20ac1.5million (\u00a31.28m) from the Turkish outfit for Onana. This will depend on certain clauses being met, such as Trabzonspor winning the domestic league or qualifying for the Champions League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    The Turkish club are also agreeing to cover the majority of Onana’s wage. It is hoped that his full wage will be covered if Trabzonspor manage to activate the clauses in the deal.<\/p>\n

    Unlike with previously agreed loan moves, Onana’s return to Trabzonspor is a straight deal with no option to purchase the player in 2027. When he returns to Old Trafford at the end of next season, the goalkeeper will have one more year remaining on his United deal.<\/p>\n
