EPA<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe theft was reported on 13 May and immediately police officers visited the crime scene and launched an investigation,\u201d a police spokesperson said Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The sculpture \u2014 created by American conceptual artist Brad Downey \u2014 had been erected after arsonists torched a wooden one resembling the first lady back in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Downey said he was \u201ca bit sad that it\u2019s gone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>First lady Melania Trump speaks during an event in the East Room of the White House on May 8, 2025.
