{"id":1068110,"date":"2026-07-04T13:59:22","date_gmt":"2026-07-04T13:59:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1068110\/"},"modified":"2026-07-04T13:59:22","modified_gmt":"2026-07-04T13:59:22","slug":"a-photo-exhibition-of-black-sabbaths-farewell-show-has-launched-in-birmingham","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1068110\/","title":{"rendered":"A photo exhibition of Black Sabbath&#8217;s farewell show has launched in Birmingham"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Author <strong>Benedetta Baldin<\/strong> &#8211; 4.7.2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Along with a number of metal musicians, a world-first photography exhibition has launched in Birmingham to commemorate the last live solo performance of <strong>Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong> and <b><a href=\"https:\/\/chaoszine.net\/black-sabbath-resolve-legal-battle-with-former-manager-over-early-demo-rights\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Black Sabbath\u2019<\/a><\/b>s original lineup, as per <a href=\"https:\/\/blabbermouth.net\/news\/back-to-the-beginning-photo-exhibition-launched-in-birmingham-to-coincide-with-concerts-first-anniversary\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Blabbermouth<\/a>. \u201cBack To The Beginning \u2013 The Exhibition\u201d spans 60 meters at Grand Central, above New Street Station, and includes some of the biggest names in rock and metal history in addition to gorgeous photos of <strong>Ozzy<\/strong> and his <b>Sabbath <\/b>comrades Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. Fans can even join the historic lineup for the ultimate rock selfie moment. A massive ninie-meter digital wallpaper graphic with the majority of the international celebrities who participated has left room for admirers to stand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A year ago, the \u201cBack To The Beginning\u201d performance honouring <strong>Ozzy<\/strong> and <b>Black Sabbath <\/b>at Villa Park featured free appearances by the biggest names in music, all of whom are stadium-filling performers in their own right. <b>Metallica, Guns N\u2019 Roses, Slayer, Tool, Pantera, Gojira, Alice In Chains, Anthrax, Lamb Of God, Halestorm, Mastodon,<\/b> and <b>Rival Sons <\/b>were among them; they are all included in this brand-new, one-of-a-kind must-see exhibition. They were joined by a host of all-star supergroups featuring legendary musicians including <strong>Tom Morello<\/strong> (<b>Rage Against The Machine)<\/b>, <strong>Yungblud<\/strong>, Chad Smith (<b>Red Hot Chilli Peppers)<\/b>, Jake E. Lee (<b>Ozzy Osbourne)<\/b>, Steven Tyler (<b>Aerosmith)<\/b>, Ronnie Wood (<b>The Rolling Stones)<\/b>, Billy Corgan (<b>The Smashing Pumpkins)<\/b>, Travis Barker (<b>Blink-182)<\/b>, Tobias Forge (<b>Ghost)<\/b>, Sammy Hagar (<b>Van Halen)<\/b>, plus many more outstanding artists.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The one-time display honouring the first anniversary of \u201cBack To The Beginning\u201d launched on Friday, July 3. Photographers Ross Halfin and Mark \u201cWEISSGUY\u201d Weiss took the pictures. The <b>Black Sabbath <\/b>mural on Navigation Street and the \u201cOzzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero\u201d exhibition at Birmingham Museum &amp; Art Gallery were both organised and commissioned by Central BID, the Business Improvement District for the city\u2019s primary retail and hospitality district. The proprietors of Bullring and Grand Central, Hammerson, have donated the space. Along with <strong>Ozzy<\/strong>\u2018s legendary throne from the final concert, which is currently on display at the Birmingham Museum &amp; Art Gallery, it is free to visit and is expected to be one of the highlights of Birmingham\u2019s summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re delighted to bring this incredible exhibition to honor\u00a0Ozzy Osbourne\u00a0and\u00a0BLACK SABBATH\u00a0in their beloved home city with images from two of the most renowned rock photographers in the world,\u00a0Mark \u2018WEISSGUY\u2019 Weiss\u00a0and\u00a0Ross Halfin.
