Britain looks set to get soaked by a 550-mile wall of rain, with downpours possible across much of the country. A new weather map<\/a> from WXCharts suggests that expected warm weather will likely be interrupted by a rain bomb at midday on May 24. It indicates rainfall from the most southerly point of the UK<\/a> mainland \u2014 Lizard Point in Cornwall<\/a> \u2014 to as far north as Aberdeenshire. All counties in Wales and large parts of England and Scotland could see rain. The rain is likely to be less than 1mm per hour in most parts but some cities \u2014 including Newcastle and Edinburgh<\/a> \u2014 could see wetter conditions.<\/p>\n

Berwickshire could see the heaviest rain, up up to 4mm per hour.<\/p>\n

The weather map shows that London<\/a> looks set to be mostly dry, with much of England\u2019s south and south-east on course to stay rain-free.<\/p>\n

Much of Northern Ireland<\/a> will likely be dry but all six counties could see some light showers.<\/p>\n
