Haruun Hassan was treated by emergency services but died at the scene<\/p>\n

London (HOL) \u2014 A Somali-origin man who was fatally stabbed in west London has been identified as 22-year-old Haruun Hassan, police said.<\/p>\n

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called at 1:47 a.m. Tuesday to the junction of Bath Road and Great South-West Road in Hounslow after reports of a stabbing.<\/p>\n

Emergency services treated Hassan at the scene, but he was pronounced dead there, police said.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made.<\/p>\n

The crime scene included a double-decker bus within the police cordon, and investigators are appealing for witnesses who were on the bus or in the area at the time to come forward.<\/p>\n

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller, who is leading the investigation, said police remain committed to finding those responsible.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur thoughts remain with Haruun\u2019s family during this tremendously difficult time,\u201d Waller said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know there were a number of people on the bus at this time, and we urge those people, or anyone with information, to contact police as a matter of urgency,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Waller said detectives are continuing inquiries and the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
