The book is being developed into a feature to be written and directed by McKenna.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn a statement, McKenna said, \u201cAllen and Parnes have created a thrilling, page-turning, deeply-sourced account of one of the most important moments in recent history, one with which we were all obsessed. The book is populated with vivid characters, revealing moments and is a propulsive yarn filled with twists, all qualities of the movies I love best. They are also two of the most fascinating and insightful journalists working today and I can\u2019t wait to bring their story to life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAllen is a senior national political reporter for NBC News. Parnes is The Hill\u2018s senior political correspondent. They also are co-authors of Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton\u2019s Doomed Campaign and Lucky: How <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\" id=\"auto-tag_joe-biden\" data-tag=\"joe-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joe Biden<\/a> Barely Won the Presidency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tParnes said in a statement, \u201cNo one has a better feel than Aline for revealing the raw human traits \u2014 strengths, frailties, vanities, foibles and humor \u2014 that define success and failure when people are thrust into all-or-nothing situations. She previoulsy adapted the novel The Devil Wears Prada\u00a0for the screen, and co-created the comedy series\u00a0Crazy Ex-Girlfriend\u00a0with Rachel Bloom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAllen and Parnes are represented by Aevitas Creative.
