EastEnders<\/a>\u2019 Max Branning<\/a> (Jake Wood<\/a>) takes desperate action when his affair with Priya Nandra-Hart<\/a> (Sophie Khan-Levy<\/a>) comes dangerously close to being exposed this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n The pair hooked up<\/a> following Vicki Fowler<\/a> (Alice Haig<\/a>) and Ross Marshall<\/a>\u2019s (Alex Walkinshaw<\/a>) wedding celebrations, and while they swore it was a one-off, it turns out the lust-struck pair can\u2019t stay away from one another.\u00a0<\/p>\n There\u2019s just one big problem \u2013\u00a0Max\u2019s already suspicious<\/a> fianc\u00e9e, Cindy Beale<\/a> (Michelle Collins<\/a>), who nearly catches the pair in the act in forthcoming scenes.\u00a0<\/p>\n Monday\u2019s episode sees Max step in to defend his lover when Cindy questions Priya\u2019s behaviour after witnessing a clash with her daughter Avani Nandra-Hart<\/a> (Aaliyah James<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t He discloses to Cindy about Priya\u2019s recent break-up with Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara)<\/a>, which, when Priya learns about, she angrily warns Max to stop talking about her business.\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\tAsk Metro<\/p>\n Use AI to go deeper into the stories you care about \u2013 powered by Metro and trusted publications.<\/p>\n \u2018In her mind, it crosses a line and starts to affect her real life. Their relationship is meant to be contained and emotionless,\u2019 explains Sophie Khan-Levy, who plays Priya. \u2018She believed she could keep everything separate, so Max crossing that line is alarming to her.\u2019<\/p>\n As the pair clash, Cindy only grows more and more sus about Max, and while he fobs her off by claiming he\u2019s planning a surprise, he goes to meet Priya at The Arches.\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t While Max initially tries to end things, you can guess what happens next \u2013 but just as they are giving in to passion, Cindy unexpectedly arrives with Max\u2019s daughter Lauren Branning<\/a> (Jacqueline Jossa<\/a>).<\/p>\n Panicked, Max bundles Priya into a car boot to hide her, not realising it is the very motor that Lauren is there to collect. So when she then drives away, she has no idea Priya is in there, and a whole saga unfolds.\u00a0<\/p>\n After Priya eventually escapes, Sophie says she is \u2018furious with Max for putting her in that position\u2019, and threatens to expose Max.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u2018Priya\u2019s wrath after being embarrassed is not something to be taken lightly,\u2019 the actress explains. \u2018The humiliation cuts deep, especially given what she was enjoying about the relationship.
