Incoming Nottingham Forest<\/a> boss Oliver Glasner has been told he \u201ccan\u2019t go wrong\u201d by signing Liverpool\u2019s Curtis Jones as a replacement for Elliot Anderson.<\/p>\n

Anderson has left Forest for a British record \u00a3116m transfer to Manchester City, leaving a gaping hole in the Reds\u2019 midfield ahead of the new Premier League<\/a> season.<\/p>\n

One of Glasner\u2019s top priorities will be to replace the England international once he takes charge at the City Ground<\/a> – and former Forest man James Perch believes Jones is an \u201cobvious\u201d choice.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo try and replace Elliot Anderson and what he does is going to be very hard,\u201d he told talkSPORT<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI say it\u2019s going to probably take two players to cover what he does because he does so much for Forest in that midfield. But the obvious one I think would be Curtis Jones.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s proven. He\u2019s an England international. So you\u2019re not taking a gamble on him and hoping he hits the ground running.<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully with his experience and all the games he\u2019s played for Liverpool, he will just walk straight into the team and almost kick on from where Elliot Anderson left off.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think he\u2019s as good as Elliot Anderson, but I think he\u2019s a replacement where you can\u2019t go wrong with him.”<\/p>\n
