\n\tThe U.K. and Ireland box office maintained a steady rhythm over the weekend as Disney\u2019s \u201cToy Story 5<\/a>\u201d retained the number one spot for a third consecutive frame. The Pixar release collected \u00a35.7 million ($7.6 million), pushing its three-week cumulative total to \u00a337.9 million ($50.7 million).<\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal secured second place with the wide-circuit launch of \u201cMinions & Monsters.\u201d Rolling out with full saturation across more than 300 locations, the film generated a solid opening weekend of $5.8 million. <\/p>\n

\n\tBlack Bear\u2019s ensemble comedy-drama \u201cThe Invite<\/a>\u201d opened in third place, rolling out across more than 300 sites to bank an opening frame of $1.06 million. The performance narrowly edged out Warner Bros.\u2019 superhero holdover \u201cSupergirl<\/a>,\u201d which moved to fourth place in its sophomore session, pocketing \u00a3$1.05 million for a 10-day running total of $6 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal also controlled the middle of the chart with its holdovers. The horror-romance \u201cObsession\u201d took the fifth spot in its eighth week of release with $661,785, lifting its cumulative total to $23.4 million. Right behind at number six, Steven Spielberg\u2019s sci-fi thriller \u201cDisclosure Day\u201d captured $653,153 in its fourth weekend, driving its total to $15.8 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tParamount\u2019s \u201cJackass: Best and Last\u201d moved to seventh place in its sophomore frame, drawing $561,975 for a running total of $2.3 million. A24\u2019s psychological horror hit \u201cBackrooms\u201d followed at No. 8 in its sixth weekend of release, taking $268,570 over the frame to reach a haul of $16.9 million. <\/p>\n

\n\tYash Raj Films secured ninth place with its spy universe action entry \u201cAlpha,\u201d yielding an opening weekend of $214,729. Paramount\u2019s franchise parody revival \u201cScary Movie\u201d completed the top 10 in its fifth frame, adding $160,930 to its total, which now rests at $12.3 million. <\/p>\n

\n\tLooking ahead, CinemaLive kicks off the mid-week footprint on Wednesday, July 8, with the opera presentation \u201cAida On Sydney Harbour \u2013 Opera Australia 2015.\u201d On Friday, Disney leads the wide-circuit expansion with its live-action adaptation \u201cMoana\u201d launching into more than 300 locations, while Studiocanal rolls out its genre offering \u201cEvil Dead Burn\u201d into wide commercial footprints. Bakrania Media also captures targeted Bollywood screens on Friday with the comedy sequel \u201cDhamaal 4.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMubi debuts Karim A\u00efnouz\u2019s ensemble drama \u201cRosebush Pruning,\u201d while Dartmouth Films opens Daniele Rugo\u2019s medical documentary \u201cLife Support\u201d in over 25 sites. Bulldog Film Distribution rolls out Francesco Sossai\u2019s Italian comedy \u201cThe Last One For The Road,\u201d alongside Watermelon Pictures\u2019 launch of the documentary feature \u201cShoot The People\u201d and Verve Pictures\u2019 \u201cLetters From Baghdad.\u201d <\/p>\n
