There are statement shoulders. There are statement collars. And now we have whatever Schiaparelli has decided nipples should be doing in 2026, modelled by Emma Corrin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The actor has once again delighted \u2013 and slightly bamboozled \u2013 us after arriving at Schiaparelli\u2019s Paris Couture Week show wearing what can only be described as the world\u2019s most glamorous angry bird.<\/p>\n

Taking a front-row seat at Daniel Roseberry\u2019s latest couture presentation on Monday, the 30-year-old\u2019s feather-covered jacket was so theatrical it looked less like clothing and more like an exotic creature that had politely agreed to perch on their body for the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Alongside the multi-coloured plumage, it featured padded shoulders and a collar that climbed so high it covered the Crown and Nosferatu actor<\/a>\u2019s ears and was shaped like a pair of little wings protecting their neck.<\/p>\n

But naturally, despite all of this, everyone\u2019s eyes were drawn elsewhere.<\/p>\n

For emerging from the front of the jacket were two sharply pointed structures jutting proudly from the chest like a pair of extremely confident, aggressively aerodynamic nipples.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tBut the eye is inevitably drawn to the long horn or claw-like protrusions in place of nipples (Picture: Marc Piasecki\/WireImage)<\/p>\n

Or perhaps horns? Or claws \u2013 or talons? Or perhaps, somehow all the above. But whatever they were, they immediately stole the show.<\/p>\n

Matching protrusions appeared on the back of the jacket, which finished in a sweeping feathered tail, up and away from the body, giving Corrin the appearance of someone moments away from taking flight.<\/p>\n

Corrin, who will star as Lizzie Bennet in Netflix\u2019s Pride and Prejudice adaptation<\/a> later this year, had been spotted at Wimbledon just two days earlier, and it\u2019s difficult to imagine Centre Court officials appreciating a feathered collar large enough to block the view of everyone in the rows behind.<\/p>\n

Couture week though, thankfully, is exactly the place for garments that prioritise spectacle over basic concepts like peripheral vision.<\/p>\n

\u2018Yesss they look like hummingbirds!\u2019 Gi Hamilton commented on a video of the look on Instagram<\/a>, while stylist Juliet Cuerden predicted: \u2018Years from now, we\u2019ll look back at this era of Schiaparelli the way we look back at Galliano for Dior.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Absolutely insaaaaane,\u2019 John Villa chimed in, with his heart-eye emojis confirming this was a compliment, while Luna De Casanova quipped: \u2018For a 10am show?\u2019<\/p>\n

However, as with all bold creativity, it also really wasn\u2019t vibing for everyone, with Mark Trotta calling the piece \u2018hideous\u2019 and Lari Elka asking: \u2018What in the Hieronymus Bosch hell?\u2019<\/p>\n

It was a headline-grabbing day for Schiaparelli and its creative director Roseberry too, given that yesterday evening Zendaya<\/a> donned another creation from the label in London at The Odyssey\u2019s world premiere<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was reportedly flown in especially from Paris Fashion Week that morning too by the star\u2019s stylist extraordinaire, Law Roach.<\/p>\n

For the Challengers\u2019 actress, the dress was an ode to her role as Athena in the Christopher Nolan-directed epic<\/a>, mimicking a marble statue with its corset and finishing in a shimmering beaded skirt that gave the illusion of a fountain.<\/p>\n
