Last month, the government approved the 8.25% interest payment on provident funds.<\/p>\n<p>Labour Minister <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livemint.com\/sports\/fifa-world-cup-2026-trophy-arrives-in-india-union-sports-minister-mansukh-mandaviya-attends-unveiling-event-11768054387627.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"Mansukh Mandaviya\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Mansukh Mandaviya<\/a> said on Wednesday, \u201cAnnual interest for FY26 at the rate of 8.25% to 34 crore member accounts, estimated at over  \u20b91.44 lakh crore, will be auto-processed and then verified by Field Authorities before being credited to the member account balances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Members will be able to view the interest credit in their passbook by July 15,&#8221; the minister said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the minister, interest payments were previously processed in October\u2013November after government approval.<\/p>\n<p>How to check?<\/p>\n<p>EPFO members can use any of the following methods to check PF balance:<\/p>\n<p>PF Balance Check through EPFO Portal<\/p>\n<p>To check your EPF balance online, you must first activate your Universal Account Number (<a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livemint.com\/money\/personal-finance\/epfo-discontinues-uan-activation-on-portal-what-pf-subscribers-should-know-11783134530857.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"UAN\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">UAN<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Step 1: Visit the EPFO Members Passbook Portal.<\/p>\n<p>Step 2: Sign in using UAN, password and Captcha.<\/p>\n<p>Step 3: Enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked phone number.<\/p>\n<p>Step 4: Select the relevant Member ID.<\/p>\n<p>Step 5: Click on \u201cView Passbook\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Once the passbook is visible, you can check your balance there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also Read<\/strong> | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livemint.com\/news\/india\/epfo-targets-15-july-to-credit-1-44-trillion-fy26-pf-interest-under-new-it-platform-11783498828203.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">EPFO targets 15 July to credit  \u20b91.44 trillion FY26 PF interest<\/a>PF Balance Check through UMANG App<\/p>\n<p>You can also check your EPF balance on the <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livemint.com\/money\/personal-finance\/epfo-check-account-status-savings-passbook-official-portal-umang-app-services-available-week-date-1-july-software-update-11782626369444.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"UMANG app\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">UMANG app<\/a>, but first you need to register on UMANG using your UAN-linked mobile number.<\/p>\n<p>Step 1: Download the UMANG app from the Play Store or App Store.<\/p>\n<p>Step 2: Open the app, go to Services \u2192 Social Security \u2192 EPFO.<\/p>\n<p>Step 3: Under \u2018Employee Centric Services\u2019, select \u2018View Passbook\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Step 4: Enter your UAN and verify using the OTP sent to your registered mobile.<\/p>\n<p>Step 5: Once logged in, choose the employer account you wish to view.<\/p>\n<p>Your EPF passbook, including all deposits and withdrawals, will be displayed<\/p>\n<p>PF Balance Check through Missed Call Number<\/p>\n<p>You can also check your EPF balance by giving a missed call from your registered mobile.
