Charli D\u2019Amelio delivered fans an update in a recent YouTube AMA, admitting that her mental health was declining. The news comes amid rumors that the social media personality has become estranged from her family.<\/p>\n
D\u2019Amelio recorded responses<\/a> to fan questions while hiking. Questions ranged from relatively light topics, such as \u201cNew York or LA?\u201d to more deep subjects such as what is \u201cthe biggest challenge of being 22?\u201d<\/p>\n Charli took the time to go in depth with the latter question, getting surprisingly honest and raw. \u201cMy mental health keeps declining,\u201d she told viewers, before adding, \u201cThe age keeps going up but the number of therapy sessions keep going up too.\u201d<\/p>\n The singer, who was at one point, TikTok\u2019s biggest star<\/a>, went on to say how the hardest part of being 22 was \u201cfully being in charge for the first time,\u201d mentioning how she didn\u2019t have \u201cthe guidance or the mentors to tell me, or help me, or guide me for what decisions I should make or the life I want to live.\u201d Her mental health struggles have only amplified rumors of a possible rift between D\u2019Amelio and her parents.<\/p>\n What\u2019s happening between Charli D\u2019Amelio and her parents? <\/p>\n A few months ago D\u2019Amelio returned to YouTube after a four month hiatus which coincidentally synced with fan speculation that she had become estranged from her parents, reports EOnline<\/a>. In late 2025 fans noticed that Charli no longer followed Heidi and Marc D\u2019Amelio and the couple of 26 years no longer followed her.<\/p>\n The rumors began swirling and only got worse when netizens realized that Charli and her sister Dixie D\u2019Amelio had also stopped posting about their family\u2019s popcorn company, Be Happy Snacks, around the same time. People<\/a> later confirmed that Charli was no longer involved in the family business.<\/p>\n Charli D\u2019Amelio has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors regarding the family rift although she has suggested she may talk about it in a video dedicated to what\u2019s been happening the past few months. \u201cI would love to be able to really explain what was going on over those few months,\u201d she said in her newest video, \u201cbut that means dedicated time because it was very sensitive.\u201d<\/p>\n Parents\u2019 response <\/p>\n Meanwhile her parents have addressed the rumors with her father responding to a post from Deuxmoi<\/a> where he denied the claim that Charli had \u201cdiscovered millions of dollars had been transferred out of accounts that were established during the years her career was managed by her parents.\u201d This is what allegedly caused the rift.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is not true.\u201d Marc D\u2019Amelio wrote in a comment on the Instagram post.
