The future of some Forest players will come into question during the summer following a memorable campaign in the Premier League. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Forest<\/a> have made a mockery of some pundits during the 2024\/25 campaign.<\/p>\n

Gary Lineker, Robbie Earle and Jamie Carragher all had Forest going down this season, without any real substance before a ball was kicked. <\/p>\n

Lineker has called himself an idiot<\/a> for that prediction, whilst Earle changed his mind on Forest<\/a> pretty quickly. Carragher has brushed his prediction under the carpet. <\/p>\n

Forest\u2019s good form has largely been a team effort, with Nuno Espirito Santo<\/a> steering the team on course for a Champions League<\/a> finish just 12 months after almost slipping into the EFL. <\/p>\n

A number of players have helped the cause, with Morgan Gibbs-White<\/a>, Murillo<\/a>, Nikola Milenkovic<\/a> and Chris Wood<\/a> all among the star players. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s been claimed that Manchester City are keen to sign Gibbs-White<\/a> and that doesn\u2019t come as a big surprise given that Kevin De Bruyne is going to move on this summer. <\/p>\n

Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the Forest star and is going to go on the hunt for an alternative to De Bruyne during the summer transfer market. <\/p>\n

Some might have reservations about Gibbs-White being capable of playing for City but Danny Murphy is leading the Forest star\u2019s fan club at the moment, believing he\u2019d be more than capable of doing a job at the Etihad Stadium. <\/p>\n

He said live on TalkSPORT: \u201cHe\u2019s just got it all, he\u2019s shining in that team and it suits him being the main man in that respect. The only question you\u2019d have is playing under bigger pressure and having to do it more consistently. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s great with his back to call, great skill, can score, good passer, he takes risks with his passes and through balls. The great advantage with someone like Gibbs-White is that he wants to do the work without the ball and you don\u2019t always get number 10s who want to do the work. He can play centre mid too, I\u2019ve seen him play there and he is just phenomenal. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s unlucky at the moment that England have got so many players who can play in his position but I think he could play in any team. He\u2019s terrific. The question is though, would he go to Manchester City? Probably. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut you\u2019ve got to ask the question, maybe a year on the Champions League journey if they get in it, rather than being a bit-part. We saw Kalvin Phillips fall away doing that so he might stick it out for a year.\u201d<\/p>\n
