Andy Beshear said the Commonwealth has once again secured a new job growth record. According to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kentucky.gov\/Pages\/Activity-stream.aspx?n=EducationCabinet&amp;prId=752\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics<\/a>, in April, the number of people employed, the number of filled jobs and the civilian labor force in Kentucky were at their highest point in the state\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/jobs-300x294.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"294\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-182232\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMore than ever before, we are getting people to work and filling more jobs,\u201d Gov. Beshear said. \u201cThis is great news for our families, and it\u2019s very appealing to companies looking to invest in the Commonwealth.\u201d<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>April\u2019s report confirms that Kentucky reached new highs for each of these three-monthly metrics:<br \/><strong><br \/>\u2022\tThe\u00a0number of people employed\u00a0in April increased to\u00a02,009,018.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\t\u2022\tKentucky\u2019s\u00a0civilian labor force\u00a0was\u00a02,118,333\u00a0in April 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\t\u2022\tThe\u00a0number of filled jobs\u00a0increased to\u00a02,052,400.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, the Governor provided an update on Kentucky\u2019s labor market and\u00a0reported\u00a0that not only have labor force numbers fully rebounded from the pandemic, but they are at their highest levels since the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics started keeping record.<\/p>\n<p>April\u2019s labor report, issued today, broke March\u2019s record. The number of people employed in April increased by 2,550 from March 2025. Kentucky\u2019s civilian labor force increased by 752 individuals from March 2025. And the number of filled jobs increased by 400 from March 2025. Estimates are preliminary and are subject to monthly and annual revisions.<\/p>\n<p>Robust job creation has been accompanied by rising wages across the commonwealth. Since 2022, the average incentivized hourly wage has topped $26 in three consecutive years for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Gov.
