It almost doesn\u2019t matter how one measures its performance, as the track stands out as a historic hit. It is one of the longest-running No. 1s in the history of the Digital Song Sales chart, one of the biggest smashes on Billboard\u2019s country-specific rankings, a constant champion on the Billboard Hot 100 and a streaming sensation.<\/p>\n<p>Months after its release, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d holds atop several lists in the U.S., and it is now counted as one of the longer-running blockbusters on many of the tallies it inhabits. That includes the Streaming Songs chart, a non-genre-specific rundown of the most-played cuts on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music in America. This frame, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d holds in first place yet again and ties several of the most popular tunes of the past decade and a half.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d Spends a Thirteenth Week at No. 1<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"color-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nUsrYVxrDwI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nUsrYVxrDwI\" aria-label=\"\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d\">\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d<\/a> is a non-mover at No. 1 on the <a class=\"color-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/streaming-songs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/streaming-songs\/\" aria-label=\"Streaming Songs chart\">Streaming Songs chart<\/a>. It has now spent a lucky 13 frames in charge of one of Billboard\u2019s busiest and most competitive rankings out of 37 turns somewhere on the tally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d Joins the Longest-Running Streaming Leaders<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d is now tied as the seventh-longest-running No. 1 of all time on the Streaming Songs chart. Only 11 tracks have occupied the top space for 13 frames or more.<\/p>\n<p>Langley\u2019s smash is now on the same level as \u201cWrecking Ball\u201d by Miley Cyrus, \u201cFancy\u201d by Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX, \u201cThe Box\u201d by Roddy Ricch and \u201cWe Don\u2019t Talk About Bruno.\u201d That latter cut from the animated film Encanto is officially credited to seven musical acts \u2013 Carolina Gait\u00e1n, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy Feliz, Diane Guerrero, Stephanie Beatriz, and the Encanto cast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d Passes \u201cUptown Funk\u201d and \u201cCloser\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last frame, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d was on the same level as both <a class=\"color-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OPf0YbXqDm0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OPf0YbXqDm0\" aria-label=\"\u201cUptown Funk\u201d\">\u201cUptown Funk\u201d<\/a> by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars and \u201cCloser\u201d from electronic dance production duo the Chainsmokers and pop singer Halsey. Those cuts held the top spot on the Streaming Songs ranking for a dozen periods in 2015 and 2016, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Ella Langley Has Scored Five Streaming Top 10s<\/p>\n<p>Langley has only reached No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart with \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas,\u201d but she has come close to doubling that total on multiple occasions. \u201cBe Her,\u201d the second single from Dandelion, peaked at No. 2 behind \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas.\u201d \u201cI Can\u2019t Love You Anymore,\u201d a collaboration with Morgan Wallen, topped out at No. 3, as it was also blocked by Langley\u2019s other hits. Nine tracks by Langley have appeared on the Streaming Songs chart, and five have cracked the top 10.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d Rules Five Billboard Charts<\/p>\n<p>This week, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d lives on 11 Billboard charts. It holds at No. 1 on five of them, including not only the Streaming Songs tally, but also the Country Streaming Songs ranking. As of this period, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d has lived in that space on the country version of the Streaming Songs register for 26 weeks \u2014 exactly half a year. Langley has scored eight top 10s on the country-specific tally, but none have come close to matching the success of her current winner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d Makes Digital Sales History<\/p>\n<p>As \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d dominates the Digital Song Sales chart, it also makes history with 11 weeks at No. 1. It is one of only 10 compositions to occupy that space for that length of time \u2013 or longer. \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d ties <a class=\"color-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZbZSe6N_BXs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZbZSe6N_BXs\" aria-label=\"\u201cHappy\u201d by Pharrell Williams\">\u201cHappy\u201d by Pharrell Williams<\/a>, which stepped aside after 11 moments in the spotlight, though Langley\u2019s cut might not be done running the show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d Rules the Hot 100 for a Twelfth Week<\/p>\n<p>On the Billboard Hot 100, the most competitive songs chart in America, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d also remains in first place. It has now ruled for an even dozen periods, becoming one of only a handful of cuts by women to dominate for so long.
