Romano shared what he knows about Liverpool\u2019s internal view of Frimpong.<\/p>\n

The Reds believe Frimpong is a player who can improve the defensive side of his game, and they think he has massive potential on that front.<\/p>\n

On top of that, the Reds believe that Frimpong is already worth more than his release clause, so they think they\u2019re getting a bargain here.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cMy understanding is that internally in the coaching staff, so Arne Slot, but also other people at Liverpool believe that Jeremie Frimpong is not just an excellent player on the offensive point of view, a player who can provide assists, score goals, we saw that at Bayer Leverkusen, but also with the potential to improve for more physical football, like the English one, also to defend more,\u201d Romano said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo it\u2019s going to be a different way of playing, but Liverpool are convinced that the potential of Jeremie Frimpong is massive and is a player worth probably more than the release clause in their view. That\u2019s why Liverpool are ready to make this investment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Liverpool\u2019s release clause bargains<\/p>\n

Liverpool are set to sign Frimpong for just \u00a335m due to the player\u2019s release clause, and this isn\u2019t the first time in recent years we\u2019ve seen the Reds employ this transfer strategy.<\/p>\n

Release clauses are clearly a good way to find value in the transfer market, and this is an area that Liverpool continue to capitalise on and exploit to their own advantage.<\/p>\n
