Rosie O\u2019Donnell has disclosed the staggering amount of money she had in her bank account before deciding to quit her talk show in 2002<\/a>. <\/p>\n In a new interview, the TV personality revealed that as soon as her savings hit $100 million, she knew it was time to end The Rosie O\u2019Donnell Show<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I heard that [number], I thought, \u2018Okay, now I\u2019m done,\u2019 \u201d O\u2019Donnell told Page Six<\/a>. \u201cAnd everyone was like, \u2018Why are you leaving?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n O\u2019Donnell said she knew she could spend more time with her kids the moment she \u201chad enough money to take care of everyone in my life, philanthropy and strangers.\u201d<\/p>\n O\u2019Donnell shares her four oldest children \u2014 Parker, 31, Chelsea, 28, Blake, 26, and Vivienne, 23 \u2014 with her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter. She also shares 13-year-old Clay with her late ex-wife, Michelle Rounds. <\/p>\n \u201cI wanted to be at their softball games,\u201d she said. \u201cI wanted to be at school plays.\u201d<\/p>\n O\u2019Donnell also told the outlet that she declined an alleged $100 million offer from Warner Bros. to continue hosting the show for two more years.<\/p>\n \u201cThey were like, \u2018Why would you say no?\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cI was like, \u2018Because I already have that money, and if I think I need more, something\u2019s wrong with me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t get the billionaires,\u201d she added. \u201cI don\u2019t get how people only measure their life in money, not what they can do for other people.\u201d<\/p>\n O\u2019Donnell hosted six seasons of her eponymous show from 1996 through 2002 on NBC, with celebrity guests including Barbra Streisand, Ellen DeGeneres, Madonna, Tom Cruise and Keanu Reeves. <\/p>\n Last year, O\u2019Donnell moved to Ireland with her youngest child, Clay, after Donald Trump\u2019s return to the White House. She said at the time she was in the process of getting her Irish citizenship<\/a> since she has Irish grandparents.<\/p>\n When she made her move, she said that it was \u201cheartbreaking to see what’s happening politically\u201d in the United States but thanked the people of Ireland for welcoming her. \u201cIt’s been pretty wonderful, I have to say. The people are so loving and so kind, so welcoming. And I’m very grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n O\u2019Donnell said last year that she missed her daughter\u2019s graduation from the University of Delaware<\/a> due to her ongoing feud with the U.S. president.<\/p>\n \u201cI am applying and about to be approved for my Irish citizenship as my grandparents were from there and that\u2019s all you need,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cIt will be good to have my Irish citizenship, especially since Trump keeps threatening to take away mine,\u201d she told the Australian Daily Telegraph last year. <\/a><\/p>\n O\u2019Donnell has a long-running feud with Trump<\/a> stretching back to 2006 when she was a host on The View.<\/p>\n Earlier this month, Trump mocked O\u2019Donnell and a group of celebrities in a spoof AI video<\/a> he posted on Truth Social, accusing them of suffering from \u201cTrump Derangement Syndrome.\u201d<\/p>\n The clip featured deepfake versions of O\u2019Donnell, John Leguizamo, Whoopi Goldberg, Edward Norton, Robert De Niro and Julia Roberts talking about their struggles with the so-called ailment, where fake symptoms were listed as becoming dysfunctional, irrationally angry and socially unpopular.<\/p>\n![\"Rosie](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/2280369756...jpeg\")
