A restaurant front was left shattered after a car ploughed into the building on Monday (July 13). The Amor restaurant in Bamford, Rochdale<\/a>, announced it was closed after the incident.<\/p>\n

Pictures shared online showed the glass front of the Indian restaurant completely shattered with fire service tape used to cordon off the area following the smash at around midday.<\/p>\n

In a statement posted on social media, the venue simply said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances we will be closed tonight” along with a devastating picture of the damage.<\/p>\n

The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed a car crashed into the commercial building, along Martlet Avenue. The incident was then dealt with by the police. It’s understood there were no reports of injuries.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: \u201cJust after 12.15pm on Monday 13 July, fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Martlet Avenue, Rochdale.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne fire engine from Rochale station quickly attended the incident, which involved a car crashing into a commercial building. Firefighters helped make the area safe before handing the scene over to Greater Manchester Police<\/a>.<\/p>\n
