Jack White<\/a> brought out his daughter Scarlett to play bass during his show in Brooklyn this weekend \u2013 watch footage below.<\/p>\n

White performed at Paramount on Saturday night (July 11), where the 19-year-old joined him on stage for three songs: \u2018Cannon\u2019, \u2018John The Revelator\u2019 and \u2018Black Math\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018Cannon\u2019 is a raw blues-punk cut from\u00a0The White Stripes<\/a>\u2019 1999 self-titled debut album, while \u2018John\u00a0The\u00a0Revelator\u2019 is the traditional gospel-blues song famously recorded by Blind Willie Johnson\u00a0and\u00a0\u2018Black Math\u2019\u00a0is taken from The White Stripes\u2019 2003 album \u2018Elephant\u2019.<\/p>\n

The set came as\u00a0White kicked off a North American tour<\/a>\u00a0in support of his newly released seventh solo album \u2018Frozen Charlotte<\/a>\u2019, which arrived on Friday (July 10) via Third Man.<\/p>\n

Alongside the songs with Scarlett, the Brooklyn setlist also included new tracks \u2018Raising The Grain\u2019, \u2018There\u2019s Nobody There\u2019 and \u2018Nobody Knows\u2019, as well as The White Stripes classics \u2018Fell In Love With A Girl\u2019, \u2018Hotel Yorba\u2019, \u2018The Hardest Button To Button\u2019, \u2018Icky Thump\u2019 and \u2018Seven Nation Army\u2019. He also played The Dead Weather<\/a>\u2019s \u2018I Cut Like A Buffalo\u2019 and solo track \u2018That Black Bat Licorice\u2019.<\/p>\n

Scarlett previously joined White on stage at New York\u2019s Irving Plaza in February 2025<\/a>, playing bass on \u2018Archbishop Harold Holmes\u2019 from his 2024 album \u2018No Name<\/a>\u2019.\u00a0She also performed \u2018The Hardest Button\u00a0To\u00a0Button\u2019 with him at Third Man Records\u2019 Blue Room in Nashville in 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She has contributed to her father\u2019s recorded work too, having played bass on \u2018Into The Twilight\u2019 from his 2022 album \u2018Fear Of The Dawn<\/a>\u2019 and on two tracks from \u2018No Name\u2019.<\/p>\n

Speaking to\u00a0Consequence<\/a>\u00a0last year, White described Scarlett as a \u201cgreat\u201d bassist, while stressing that he wanted her to find her own path.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe likes doing her own thing, and I like her doing her own thing, so once in a while we might touch base here and there,\u00a0but,\u00a0I like her doing her own thing, and I think that\u2019s where she feels comfortable, too,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Scarlett is the daughter of White and musician and model Karen Elson, who were married from 2005 to 2013. Last October, she walked her first fashion runway in Paris for Ann Demeulemeester<\/a>, and later shared a TikTok of herself with both parents as they sang Prince<\/a>\u2019s \u2018When Doves Cry\u2019.<\/p>\n

White\u2019s current tour continues in North America this month, and he will play two nights at London\u2019s Eventim Apollo on August 25 and 26, before shows in Bristol, Newcastle, Belfast and Dublin. The Brooklyn show also\u00a0came\u00a0days after\u00a0White stepped in to offer Twin Temple an opening slot<\/a>, after the Los Angeles duo\u00a0were dropped\u00a0from Charley Crockett\u2019s tour because of their \u201cSatanic imagery\u201d.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0NME\u2019s\u00a0three-and-a-half star\u00a0review of \u2018Frozen Charlotte\u2019<\/a>, Andrew Trendell wrote that \u201cit may not rank among his classic work but it\u2019s good fun,\u201d adding: \u201cIt\u2019s gonna really be something live, and it works to show that White doesn\u2019t need to reinvent the wheel when he can give you one hell of a ride on his own.\u201d<\/p>\n
