Ryan Reynolds<\/a> recently joined other celebrities in poking fun at Meghan Markle and her latest venture, As Ever, which features a range of products inspired by her love of cooking. During an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend, the Deadpool actor couldn’t resist taking a jab at the Duchess.<\/p>\n

Despite his wife, Blake Lively, being involved in a legal dispute with Justin Baldoni, Ryan cleverly avoided discussing his personal issues to make light of Meghan’s efforts. Interestingly, Blake, like Meghan, once had her own short-lived lifestyle website called Preserve, which sold artisanal home goods, similar to what Meghan is now trying to achieve after her recent Netflix<\/a> series.<\/p>\n

Revealing candid moments about his life and early career on the show without a whisper of the conflict involving his spouse or her It Ends With Us co-star, Ryan recounted an anecdote about his father Jimmy.<\/p>\n

Reynolds depicted his dad as having gone from police work to the curious profession of “food broker”, initially leading him to suspect clandestine CIA activities, only to learn he was really just a “middleman for jars of jam.”<\/p>\n

Amidst laughter, Conan chimed in with a zinger, jokingly linking Reynolds’ tale to Meghan Markle<\/a>: “What? He works for Meghan Markle<\/a>“, followed by a mock ominous addition: “Tiny jams. Harvestable jams. Made from the oils of Montecito”.<\/p>\n

Reynolds quipped, “If Jimbo Reynolds wasn’t dead, I’d say he is Meghan Markle<\/a>” before musing with a sly “well adjacent”.<\/p>\n

Conan agreed, noting how others have drawn comparisons between the two figures. This follows a stinging jest by Saturday Night Live host Colin Jost last weekend, who lampooned Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan’s dwindling UK welcome in his comedic news segment.<\/p>\n

In a quip about a hypothetical US-UK trade deal under Keir Starmer<\/a> and Donald Trump<\/a>, he remarked: “President Trump also announced a new trade deal with the UK that will reopen British markets for American companies. All that Britain demands in return is that we keep these two.”<\/p>\n
