Karl Burke has had plenty of success already this season with his two-year-olds and is set to add to his tally with LAM YAI<\/strong>, who looks the pick of the trainer\u2019s pair. Lam Yai boasts a good pedigree as he\u2019s out of the listed winner One Spirit, who has produced several winners, including a smart sort in Group 3 winner One For Bobby.<\/p>\n

Lam Yai, a \u20ac135,000 purchase as a yearling, makes appeal on paper ahead of her debut.<\/p>\n

KODIAC THRILLER<\/strong> is still searching for a first win in handicap company but shaped with promise when third over six furlongs at Pontefract last month on his first start for Mark Walford (previously with Charles Hills).<\/p>\n

Kodiac Thriller could not sustain his effort after setting a strong pace, but he\u2019s entitled to be better for the run and looks interesting down at five furlongs. He\u2019s well treated on the pick of his efforts for his previous yard.<\/p>\n

ALBEGONE<\/strong> possibly needed the run on his reappearance at Beverley last month and he took a big step forward when only beaten by a couple of noses over this course and distance two weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Albegone didn\u2019t get the clearest of runs, but he finished well and only just failed to get there, so he is taken to reverse the form with the winner, Muker, on these 1 lb better terms. <\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

RAULIN<\/strong> made no impact on his return to action in a mile maiden at Musselburgh last month, but left that form well behind to make a successful handicap debut at Redcar this month.<\/p>\n

Raulin made all the running and kept going well on his first start at a mile and a quarter to score with authority, passing the post three and a quarter lengths clear.<\/p>\n

He has a 7 lb rise in the weights to cope with over a longer trip, but he is an unexposed, progressive three-year-old in good hands with David O\u2019Meara, so he is taken to follow up.<\/p>\n

MIRSKY<\/strong>, a four-time winner in France, failed to win during his first campaign with David O\u2019Meara last season. However, he has fallen in the weights as a consequence and is in a less competitive event here than many he has tackled.<\/p>\n

He was only mid-division on his return at Newmarket a couple of weeks ago, but he probably needed the run there and it would be little surprise to see him take a step forward.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s well handicapped on some of the form he showed last season, notably when runner-up in the valuable Clipper Handicap at York\u2019s Ebor meeting.<\/p>\n

REIDH<\/strong> finished down the field on his return at Redcar last month, but he produced a more encouraging effort when beaten by fewer than four lengths in sixth back at the same venue last time.<\/p>\n

He wasn\u2019t seen to best effect last time as he was short of room inside the final couple of furlongs and unable to open up. He\u2019s been eased another 1 lb in the weights, so is now 5 lb below his last winning mark.<\/p>\n

He should prove well suited by dropping back in trip to seven furlongs here (both his wins have been achieved at seven furlongs).<\/p>\n

ORBAAN<\/strong> is now a veteran and possibly not the force of old, but the handicapper has given him a chance. He went close to capitalising on his sliding mark when runner-up at Epsom last time. He\u2019s been eased in grade into class 5 company here and looks worth siding with at this level.<\/p>\n

HAPPIER<\/strong> has been down the field on both starts this season, but she drops in grade here, which offers hope she might be capable of bouncing back. She is only 2 lb higher in the weights than when successful at Southwell, in November, three starts ago, so she\u2019s on a decent mark.<\/p>\n
