evening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.deadlinenews.co.uk\/tag\/police-scotland\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"38613\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Police<\/a>\u00a0confirmed that the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Barnton,_Edinburgh\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Barnton<\/a>\u00a0Avenue collision involved a pedestrian and a vehicle, which was left in a crumpled ruin.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"The front of the car was front bumper and doors \u00a9 Alan Simpson<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officers were first alerted to the incident in the Northwest at around 4:25pm on Monday evening, and were forced to close the road temporarily while the scene was investigated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police also confirmed that enquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p><img Simpson<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Police Scotland spokesperson said: \u201cAround 4.25pm on Monday, 13 July, 2026, officers received a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Barnton Avenue, Edinburgh.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/edinburghtrams.com\/tap-tap?utm_source=Edinburgh_Reporter&amp;utm_medium=print&amp;utm_campaign=Tap_Aff_June26\" aria-label=\"TOTA
