Graham Norton<\/a> has revealed the one demand Taylor Swift<\/a> had when she joined his BBC<\/a> show line-up late in the day last October.<\/p>\n The recently married<\/a> chart-topper appeared on The Graham Norton Show<\/a>, which she has labelled one of her \u2018favourite shows\u2019, to promote her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.<\/p>\n But sitting on the iconic red sofa alongside an eclectic mix of celebrities, it did look rather cramped at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n Norton has now explained why, telling GQ<\/a> in a new interview that she was \u2018a very last-minute booking\u2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n He added: \u2018The show was fully booked. So we thought, \u201cWe\u2019re going to have to bump somebody\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u2018Word came back from Taylor: no one must be bumped. And that was a good show to be on because everyone ended up in the Opalite music video. Everyone!\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t @britishgq<\/a> <\/p>\n If Taylor Swift says no one gets bumped off the sofa, no one gets bumped off the sofa. \u201cAnd that was a good show to be on, because everyone ended up in the \u2018Opalite\u2019 music video,\u201d Graham Norton tells GQ\u2019s Ben Allen at GQHeroes.<\/p>\n \u266c original sound \u2013 British GQ<\/a> <\/p><\/blockquote>\n Indeed, the full roster of Norton\u2019s sofa from that Friday night featured<\/a> in the track\u2019s music video, which dropped in February<\/a>.<\/p>\n The list included Irish actor Cillian Murphy<\/a>, Lewis Capaldi<\/a>, Domhnall Gleeson<\/a>, Greta Lee, and Jodie Turner-Smith<\/a>.<\/p>\n It was during the Norton interview that Swift decided to cast her sofa compatriots in her next project, as she told fans after the video dropped.<\/p>\n Domhnall \u2018made a light-hearted joke about wanting to be in one of [her] music videos\u2019, which led her to be \u2018instantly struck with an idea\u2019.<\/p>\n \t\t \u2018I had this thought that it would be wild if all of our fellow guests on the Graham Norton show that night, including Graham himself, could be a part of it too,\u2019 she penned, describing the broadcaster as \u2018insanely charismatic and loveable\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018Like a school group project but for adults and it isn\u2019t mandatory.
