Two people have died in separate collisions on Northern Ireland\u2019s roads.<\/p>\n
The accidents happened in counties Antrim and Armagh.<\/p>\n
Philip Taylor (56), a motorcyclist from the Newtownabbey area, died after a collision in Broughshane on Friday evening.<\/p>\n
Inspector Cherith Adair, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: \u201cPolice received a report of a serious road traffic collision, involving a motorcycle, in the Knockan Road area, shortly after 6.50pm.<\/p>\n
\u201cOfficers attended, alongside colleagues from our partner emergency services and sadly, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was 56-year-old Philip Taylor from the Newtownabbey area.<\/p>\n
“The road was closed for some time, but has since reopened.\u201d<\/p>\n

Separately, Paddy McDonald (62), a cyclist from the Co Monaghan area, died in an accident in Armagh.<\/p>\n
The accident happened on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Inspector Adair added: \u201cPolice received a report at around 2.20pm of a serious road traffic collision involving a car and a cyclist on the Monaghan Road in the Middletown area.<\/p>\n
\u201cOfficers attended, alongside colleagues from our partner emergency services. A male cyclist was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was 62-year-old Paddy McDonald from the Castleblayney area.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe road was closed for a period of time as officers conducted enquiries, but has since re-opened.<\/p>\n
