Heavy Rain<\/a> maker Quantic Dream will re-release its wildly ambitious PS2 adventure game Indigo Prophecy<\/a> \u2013 better known as Fahrenheit<\/a> in Europe \u2013 on the PS5 later this month.<\/p>\n

The game, already available on the PS Store<\/strong><\/a> as part of Sony\u2019s PS2-to-PS4 program, will be updated in the platform holder\u2019s new emulator, offering native PS5 support with rewind, save states, CRT filters, and region select.<\/p>\n

The game will be included as part of PS Plus Premium<\/strong><\/a> from 21st July, but I\u2019d also expect it to be sold separately if you don\u2019t have the most expensive membership.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the blurb, via the PS Blog<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cIndigo Prophecy is the first interactive drama created by Quantic Dream, the makers of Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls.\u202fIn this paranormal thriller, New York City is stunned by a series of mysterious murders that follow the same pattern: ordinary people become possessed and kill absolute strangers in public.\u202fPlay both sides of this breathtaking murder conspiracy and uncover the supernatural forces behind these crimes. Outside North America, Portugal and Fance, the game carried a different title on its original release \u2013 Fahrenheit.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I reviewed this game on an old website I ran back in high school, and was absolutely obsessed with the opening mission, which takes place in a diner.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s peak Quantic Dream, with white knuckle pacing as you try to cover up a murder.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the story does go downhill in its second half, with one iconic sequence seeing you fight against the Millenium Bug (for real).<\/p>\n

Still, this is such a novel and unique game I think it\u2019s really worth playing if you haven\u2019t already \u2013 especially if you\u2019re interested about the origins of director David Cage\u2019s work.<\/p>\n
