Long delays were experienced by people travelling in parts of Wales on Friday evening as the first day of the school summer holiday began. A vehicle fire led to disruption on the M4 this afternoon.<\/p>\n

Two lanes were closed eastbound from junction 25 B4596 Caerleon Road (Caerleon) to junction 24 A449 (Coldra) in Newport.<\/p>\n

There was also congestion to the opposite side due to onlookers. That incident has now been cleared.<\/p>\n

Other stretches of the motorway were affected by heavy traffic as the school summer holidays begin with a getaway expected as families enjoy the ongoing warm weather.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, the A40 from Salutation Square to Scotchwell roundabout in Haverfordwest was closed due to a crash.<\/p>\n

There were also delays on New Hedges in Tenby due to an “incident”.<\/p>\n
