EDINBURGH have finished seventh in the URC table and will now head to Pretoria to take on Bulls \u2013 second place finishers \u2013 in the URC<\/strong> play-off quarter-finals in a fortnight\u2019s time. The match will be on Saturday 31st May at 12.30pm (UK time).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Scarlets came within a whisker of pushing the men from the Scottish capital down into eighth place this evening until a last minute penalty from Sharks secured a 12-3 win and deprived the Welshmen of the single bonus-point they needed to climb to seventh. That means Scarlets are now headed to Dublin to take on table-toppers Leinster.<\/p>\n

It is going to be a tough mission for Edinburgh, but they will draw confidence from having beatenthe South Africans 34-28 when the two sides met at Hive Stadium on 12th April. And their Scottish counterparts Glasgow Warriors did, of course, beat the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld in that famous URC play-off \u2018Grand Final\u2019 victory last season.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, tonight\u2019s victory for Sharks puts them ahead of Glasgow Warriors into third place in the URC table, meaning that Glasgow will host fifth in the table Stormers as it stands, but the Scotstoun men can move back up into third themselves if they beat Leinster in Dublin in their final match of thge regular season which is ongoing (7-0 to the hosts at half-time when this article was published).<\/p>\n
