Eurovision 2025<\/a> is popular singer Louane.<\/p>\nThe 28-year-old singer, whose full name is Anne Edwige Maria Peichert, is already an established artist in France and boasts a huge online following.<\/p>\n
She first rose to stardom in her home country after appearing in France’s version of The Voice in 2013, where Louane reached the semi-final.<\/p>\n
During the show she sang a version of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, which she dedicated to her father who had died just month earlier.<\/p>\n
Despite leaving the show before the final, Louane still managed to build a successful music career and released her debut album, Chambre 12, in 2015.<\/p>\n
She has gone on to release four more albums and a total of 24 singles.<\/p>\n
It was announced in January 2025 that she had been chosen to represent France in Basel for Eurovision with her song Maman, which sees the singer speak of her late mother.<\/p>\n

Away from singing, Louane appeared in the 2014 film La Famille B\u00e9lier, for which she won the C\u00e9sar Award for Most Promising Actress.<\/p>\n
She is in a relationship with singer Florian Rossi, with the couple having a daughter Esm\u00e9e.<\/p>\n
Louane has a huge social media following, with 1.3m followers on TikTok and 1.7m subscribers on YouTube.<\/p>\n
France automatically qualifies for the Eurovision final as part of ‘the big five’, alongside Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. Last year’s winners Switzerland also automatically qualify for the final.<\/p>\n
Ahead of this year’s Eurovision France were among the favourites with odds of 13-1 earlier this week, according to Bet365.<\/p>\n
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest final takes place at St. Jakobshalle, Basel, on Saturday May 17. Coverage is live in the UK on BBC1 from 8pm.<\/p>\n
