Two Surrey water companies are restricting water use\"woman<\/p>\n

Hosepipe bans across two water companies will mean that hundreds of thousands of houses now face restrictions on their water use.<\/p>\n

Affinity Water and South East Water have both issued temporary limits on the use of hosepipe and sprinklers across the areas they serve, impacting Surrey and other counties.<\/p>\n

Both companies have partly blamed the record breaking weather<\/a> and lack of rain for the bans, stressing a need to protect local water supplies.<\/p>\n

The Affinity Water ban<\/a> went into effect at 00:01am on Friday, July 17. Households in affected areas must not use a hosepipe for activities including: watering gardens, washing cars, cleaning windows or filling paddling pools.<\/p>\n

The affected postcodes are:<\/p>\n

GU1, GU2, GU3, GU4, GU5, GU15, GU16, GU18, GU19, GU20, GU21, GU22, GU23, GU24, GU25, KT8, KT10, KT11, KT12, KT13, KT14, KT15, KT16, KT24, RG12, RG42, RG45, TW4, TW5, TW6, TW13, TW14, TW15, TW16, TW17, TW18, TW19, TW20<\/p>\n

Restrictions on homes under South East Water<\/a> will come into place from 00.01 on Saturday, July 25, however, residents have been asked to obey restrictions before then.<\/p>\n

All 2.4 million customers of South East Water have been affected by the ban. You can find who your water provider is here<\/a><\/p>\n

GU3, GU8, GU9, GU10, GU11, GU12, GU14, GU15, GU16, GU17, GU27, GU30, GU35,<\/p>\n

The long running hot weather is also impacting other water companies.
