Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a> apparently has high hopes to get back in the royal fold.<\/p>\n

Following the Duke of Sussex’s recent reunion<\/a> with father King Charles III<\/strong><\/a> and stepmother Queen Camilla<\/strong><\/a>, a Monday, July 20, report in Rob Shuter<\/strong><\/a>‘s Naughty But Nice<\/a> Substack<\/a> claims that he has thought about potentially working for the monarchy again \u2014 but outside of Britain.<\/p>\n

“Harry believes an overseas role, particularly in Australia, would allow them to serve the King while keeping the life he has built with Meghan <\/strong><\/a>[<\/a>Markle<\/strong><\/a>]<\/a>\u00a0and the children,” said an insider, noting that his wife has “no interest in moving back to Britain.”<\/p>\n

Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, publicly stepped back from the monarchy and gave up their senior royal duties in 2020, when they moved to California.<\/p>\n

Since then, the Sussexes have raised their children \u2014 son Prince Archie<\/strong><\/a>, 7, and daughter Princess Lilibet<\/strong><\/a>, 5 \u2014 in America. Until recently, it had been years since the kids met with their grandfather, 77, in person.<\/p>\n

Getting back in with the royals may be good for his family<\/a>, and a role outside of the United Kingdom is not entirely uncommon. Edward VIII<\/strong> was king of the U.K. from January 1936 until he abdicated in December of that year. Edward, who became the Duke of Windsor, was later appointed Governor of the Bahamas.<\/p>\n

Regardless, a royal source claimed, “The Palace isn’t entertaining the idea.”<\/p>\n

According to the royal source, the late Queen Elizabeth II<\/strong><\/a> “made it crystal clear there would be no half-in, half-out arrangement. That policy didn’t end with her.”<\/p>\n

Still, a second source told Shuter that “Harry thinks there’s a creative compromise,” even though the Crown is “not going to reinvent the monarchy<\/a> for one family member.”<\/p>\n

While the Spare author “may still dream of being a working royal again,” a second source said, “that chapter has already been closed.”<\/p>\n

As In Touch<\/a> previously reported<\/a>, Charles and Camilla, 78, hosted the Sussexes on July 10 at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, England.<\/p>\n

Though Harry was back in the United Kingdom, it appears as though he had no communication<\/a> with his estranged brother, Prince William<\/strong><\/a>, and sister-in-law, Princess Kate<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
