The nuptials came after a decades-long love affair which began when they met in the 1970s.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"28\" class=\"css-1ood0zq emevuu60\">Camilla officially became queen consort on 8 September, 2022, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
