{"id":1102489,"date":"2026-07-21T12:02:15","date_gmt":"2026-07-21T12:02:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1102489\/"},"modified":"2026-07-21T12:02:15","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T12:02:15","slug":"1000-exeter-properties-left-without-electricity-in-huge-power-cut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1102489\/","title":{"rendered":"1,000 Exeter properties left without electricity in huge power cut"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">More than 1,000 homes and businesses in Exeter were left without power this morning as a huge outage affected the city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">National Grid logged the power cut at just after 7am on Tuesday, July 21, with 1,022 properties affected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;We know you&#8217;re without power,&#8221; National Grid told customers. &#8220;We were alerted at 7:12am this morning and our engineers are working to get your electricity back on as quickly as possible. We&#8217;re sorry for the disruption.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The outage affected the Middlemoor area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">National Grid said the outage had been caused by accidental damage on its network. Power was restored by around 10.20am.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">We will keep you updated with our live blog below.
