{"id":1102788,"date":"2026-07-21T15:32:17","date_gmt":"2026-07-21T15:32:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1102788\/"},"modified":"2026-07-21T15:32:17","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T15:32:17","slug":"ofsted-give-the-green-light-to-middleton-st-marys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/1102788\/","title":{"rendered":"Ofsted give the green light to Middleton St Mary&#8217;s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"679\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Middleton-St-Marys-Ofsted-26.jpeg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The latest Ofsted inspection at Middleton St Mary\u2019s C of E Primary School has found that the school meets the expected standard across the board and is strong on Attendance and Behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>In their report, which was published on Thursday (16 July 2026), Inspectors commented that:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cPupils enjoy coming to this friendly and nurturing school. They feel safe and know that they are important. Pupils receive a warm welcome at the start of the day. They develop very positive relationships with staff. Pupils get started with their early bird activities willingly and enthusiastically. They want to be in school and they attend well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPupils enjoy being involved in decisions that the school makes. They are truly listened to.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In their finding about Attendance and Behaviour they said that:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cPupils\u2019 attendance is high. Attendance for disadvantaged pupils and for pupils who have other potential barriers to their learning has improved markedly.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And that:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cA positive culture of high expectations for pupils\u2019 behaviour is evident everywhere in the school. Pupils expect the highest standards of behaviour from each other.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On Curriculum and Teaching the report states:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cReading is taught to a high standard. Teachers model how to read tricky words and sentences. Pupils read a wide range of books and enjoy reading about new concepts, such as periods of history or different religions.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And of the school\u2019s Early years provision they noted:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAll leaders are focused on the fundamental importance of the early years. Leaders and governors have invested in the learning environment, resources and staffing to ensure that children have a high-quality experience that helps them to learn and develop well.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Headteacher Naomi Wood commented:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe are absolutely delighted with the report.
