Rangers and sides from Australia’s A-League are reportedly interested in Manchester United youngster James Overy. The full-back caught United<\/a> scouts’ attention playing for Perth Glory’s senior side in a pre-season friendly against West Ham when he was just 15<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 18-year-old is revered for his electric pace and signed for United in the summer of 2024. The teenager stepped up to make a handful of appearances for the Under-21s<\/a> last season.<\/p>\n

Overy earned a move to United because of his performance in pre-season with Perth two years ago, and he will try to take any opportunity that comes his way this summer.<\/p>\n

    United have been keen to strengthen their academy this summer. The Reds signed midfielder Cristian Orozco<\/a> after reaching an agreement with Fortaleza CEIF to sign him nine months ago.<\/p>\n

    The deal outlined that he would join in the current summer transfer window, as he needed to be 18 to complete the move, despite an agreement being reached last year.<\/p>\n

    United signed the Colombian teenager because they believe he possesses first-team potential. The team’s midfield issues, partly solved by the signings of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, could open the door for him to play under Michael Carrick next season.<\/p>\n

    Orozco’s signing was followed by the signing of 18-year-old winger Tynan Thompson from Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> after the club agreed a deal worth \u00a34million, with a further \u00a34m in add-ons.<\/p>\n
